Infrastructure consulting from architects who see the migration through.
Technical assessment, architecture design and planned migrations for cloud, on-premises or hybrid. The team that designs your environment is the one that migrates it, and can run it afterwards, with no lock-in to any vendor.
An environment that grew without a design.
Most infrastructure wasn't designed; it piled up. A server here, a cloud account there, a service signed up for in a rush before a launch. Before long, nobody can say for sure what depends on what, where the single point of failure is, or how long it would take to recover if the datacenter or the main region went down.
When it's time to migrate, modernize or switch vendors, the decision tends to come from whichever sales deck was last in the room. You trade one dependency for another and find the problems on cutover day, with the business on hold.
What the consulting delivers
Technical assessment
A picture of your environment as it is today: inventory, dependencies between systems, single points of failure, security risks and where money leaks. You come out knowing what to change and in what order.
Multi-cloud and hybrid architectures
A target design on any public or private cloud, in your own datacenter or a mix of both, chosen for what solves your case, not for what's in a vendor contract.
High availability and disaster recovery
Redundancy where downtime is expensive, recovery time and acceptable data loss agreed with you, and a recovery runbook that gets tested, not just written.
Migrations planned to avoid downtime
Migration happens in stages, with the order, window and rollback path set before each cutover, so your systems move without stopping the business.
Architecture with no lock-in
Technology chosen so you can change providers later, and decisions written down so the environment still makes sense to people who weren't in the design sessions.
How it runs and what you keep
The engagement doesn't end with a slide deck. Every stage leaves something your team can use, review and maintain.
Senior architects on every project
The person who assesses your environment and designs the architecture is a senior engineer on our team, not an analyst handing the project to someone else.
Scope and timeline in writing
Before work starts, one page with the scope, the timeline and what the team takes on, walked through with you by the consultant.
Documented decisions
Diagrams, architecture decisions and the reasoning behind each one are recorded and handed to your team.
From design to operations
The same team can carry out the migration and take over operations with a 24x7 NOC, instead of passing the environment to a third party that never saw the design.
There's no tool between you and the people designing your architecture here: conversations, decisions and documents happen with the team itself.
Frequently asked questions
What does IT infrastructure consulting involve?
Assessing your current environment, pointing out risk and waste, and designing the architecture the business needs, in the cloud, on-premises or hybrid. At Nuvem.Online, the same team can also carry out the migration and run the environment afterwards.
Do you push a specific cloud provider?
Not because of a contract. We're official partners of the major providers, with no lock-in to any of them: the recommendation comes from the assessment, and sometimes the right answer is keeping part of the environment on-premises.
Can we move to the cloud without taking systems down?
Migrations are planned precisely to avoid downtime: the new setup comes up in parallel, each cutover has an agreed window and the rollback path is set before anything starts. If a system does need a short stop, you'll know it from the start, not on cutover day.
We already have an IT team. Are they left out?
No. Your team takes part in the assessment and the decisions, gets the architecture documentation and can take over operations later if you want them to. The goal is an environment the people who stay can understand, not one that depends on whoever designed it.
How does a consulting engagement start?
With a conversation with a senior architect about your situation, then a 30-day proof of concept, no contract, that ends with the senior assessment. With it in hand, the scope is built with the consultant and you decide.
